Sharon Osbourne and Dannii Minogue "Feuding on" The X Factor 8/26/07

Rock matriarch Sharon Osbourne and pop star Dannii Minogue are reportedly feuding on the set of British TV talent show The X Factor.

The pair are said to have had a string of rows behind the scenes as original judge Osbourne, 54, fears that her role in the hit ITV1 show could be overshadowed by Australian singer Minogue, who is 20 years her junior.

Minogue fled the Manchester, England auditions in tears after a furious row with Osbourne leading fellow The X Factor judge Louis Walsh to hold a peacemaking dinner in a bid to solve the problem before the show goes live.

An ITV insider says, "Sharon is acting like a cow and poor Dannii doesn't know what's hit her. Sharon's nose has been well and truly put out of joint by the arrival of Dannii.

"In previous series she has been the star of the show. She brought the glamour and the sexiness. This year she was hoping things would be the same, particularly as her own chat show crashed and burned.

"But she feels Dannii is taking over. She thinks she is the star of the show.

She's younger, sexier and Sharon hates it."

A spokesman for Osbourne says, "Naturally there is a rivalry as they want to win. But they have a mutual respect for each other. Any barbs are in jest."
