Jamie Foxx Turns Avocado Farmer 8/29/07
Oscar winner Jamie Foxx has joined TV icon Tom Selleck by becoming a
low-key avocado farmer.
The Ray star sells avocados grown on his California farm to local stores. Unlike Selleck, who is one of the state's leading avocado farmers, Foxx has no plans to turn his little earner into a big business venture. He says, "I've got about 800 avocado trees. We actually sell avocados to the state of California." And Foxx jokes he uses his lips to nurture his avocado crop: "We had a freeze, and some of the trees went into shock, so we had to go out there and kiss them and bring them back to life."
