Carrie Underwood Stays In Touch With Ex-Boyfriend Tony Romo 8/12/08

Country music star Carrie Underwood is having a hard time moving on after her split from American football star Tony Romo - because he keeps calling her up.

The Before He Cheats singer dated Romo in 2006 before the pair broke it off and he moved on to pop sensation Jessica Simpson. And the Oklahoma-native admits she's keen to stay on the receiving end of Romo's calls, because the pair are so alike.

She says, "We were both small-town people doing very big things, and we relied on each other, dealing with fame." But Underwood admits she doesn't always pick up her ex's calls: "The phone will ring and it'll be him, and I'll maybe not answer.

"You never really know why somebody wants to be around you, or if they do genuinely like you. I wish everyone had a label on their forehead so you could automatically tell their intentions. Sometimes you just wish that no one wanted anything from you."
