Oprah Drops 15 Spots On Forbes Power List 8/29/08

Media titan Oprah Winfrey has been named the 36th most powerful woman in the world in a new Forbes magazine list. Winfrey was 21st on the list in 2007.

Other celebrities to make it onto the top 100 include U.S. broadcasters Barbara Walters and Diane Sawyer, at numbers 63 and 65 respectively. German Chancellor Angela Merkel tops the new list, which is published on Friday (29Aug08).
