Brad Pitt to Officially Adopt Angelina Jolie's Children  12/3/05

Hollywood actor Brad Pitt is adopting lover Angelina Jolie's two children, according to his publicist.

The Troy star has applied to become four-year-old Maddox, and nine-month-old Zahara Marley's adoptive father, and if his application is successful, their surnames will be changed to Jolie-Pitt.

The couple met on the set of movie Mr and Mrs Smith; becoming an item in the wake of Pitt's January (05) split with then wife Jennifer Aniston .

Pitt's publicist Cindy Guafenti says, "We are confirming that Brad Pitt is in the process of becoming the adoptive father of both children."
