Simon Cowell Splashes Out on Mum's Birthday  12/6/05

Music mogul Simon Cowell treated his mother Julie to a $450,000 surprise party to mark her 80th birthday this weekend (03-04DEC05).

The X Factor and American Idol and judge held the bash at London's famous Savoy Hotel, where 300 guests watched the cast of the West End musical Rat Pack serenade the birthday girl.
