Johnny Depp Costume Sold for Charity 12/6/05

A shirt worn by Johnny Depp in the period movie The Libertine has raised $3,240 at an online auction, in aid of a children's hospice.

An American woman bought the linen shirt from British Depp fan Tricia Schroeder, who was delighted when the star agreed to donate a personal belonging in aid of the charity.

The Libertine sees Depp play debauched 17th Century poet John Wilmot, Earl of Rochester who sleeps and drinks himself into an early grave.
