Haylie Duff's Bad Driving Start  12/23/05

Napoleon Dynamite beauty Haylie Duff got off to a bad start when she on the road, when she was slapped with a ticket for reckless driving just a week after getting her license.

The actress, older sister of Hilary Duff, admits that she tried her best to talk her way out of the ticket, but ended up being sent to traffic school - where she met one of her best friends.

She tells America's Maxim magazine, "Within my first week of having a license, I got a ticket for reckless driving.

"I got caught going 65 miles per hour in Laurel Canyon (Los Angeles), which is not good. I said, 'I have a meeting that I'm late for.' I cried. I tried everything I could to get out of it. But he did not care."
