American Idol winner Carrie Underwood has ended the year (05) with another major accolade - she has been named Oklahoma magazine's Oklahoman of The Year.

It has been a great Christmas for the pretty blonde - her album Some Hearts finished the year in the US top five, selling one million copies along the way.
