Dave Navarro and Carmen Electra Still Firm Friends  12/6/06

Rocker Dave Navarro is still close to estranged wife Carmen Electra and insists they should be an example for other couples who have split.

The pair married in 2003 and filed for divorce in August (06), after announcing they were "amicably separating."

He tells American publication People, "Just because your romantic life ends doesn't mean your friendship has to. It's all good. It's good for us.

"Maybe we can be an example of sorts. She's awesome."

Navarro was thrilled to see Electra at the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas, Nevada Monday night (04DEC06) and admits he's not ready to jump back in the dating scene just yet.

He adds, "After going through a marriage, the last thing I want to do is date. I have a social life, but no girlfriend."
