STAKES ARE HIGHER THAN EVER ON NBC’S “THE BIGGEST LOSER” AS FIVE
REMAINING CONTESTANTS COMPETE ON TUESDAY, DECEMBER 11 (9-10 P.M. ET) FOR A
SPOT ON THE FINALE – AND A CHANCE TO
WIN $250,000
Plus, A "Biggest Loser" First Happens in This Must-See
Episode!
BURBANK – It's down to the
final five contestants on NBC's "The Biggest Loser" –
Bill, Hollie, Isabeau, Julie and Neil –
and the stakes are higher than ever on Tuesday, December 11 (9-10 p.m. ET)
as they battle it out for a spot in next week's finale and the chance to
win $250,000.
In this week's episode, which features a shocking event that has never
before happened in "Biggest Loser" history, the players take a
ride down memory lane to see just how far they've come in their 14 weeks
on campus. Host Alison Sweeney tells the contestants that their final
challenge of the season will allow them to bury all of the weight they've
lost -- literally.
Pulling giant scales, each contestant has to make 13 stops to pick up
the amount of weight they lost for each of the 13 weeks on campus –
and then drop the weights in a giant pit, where dirt will then be dropped
to bury that weight forever. The winner gets a prize sure to make shopping
for smaller size clothes more fun -- $10,000!
Then it's an emotional last weigh-in, followed by a final elimination
round where one more player is sent home –
and the final four remain. Then in next week's live finale on Tuesday,
December 18 (9-11 p.m. ET), this season's "Biggest Loser" will
be revealed.
With its most recent telecast on Tuesday, December 4, "The Biggest
Loser" (3.2/8 in 18-49, 8.3 million viewers overall) had its
top-scoring episode of the season in total viewers, increasing its overall
viewership from its first half-hour to its fourth by 3.0 million persons
or 45% (to 9.7 million from 6.7 million). It finished a strong #2 in the
time period in 18-49 and won the two-hour block in adults, men and women
18-34. BIGGEST LOSER improved on NBC's average rating in this time period
last season by 28% (3.2 vs. 2.5). From its first half-hour to its fourth,
BIGGEST LOSER increased its 18-49 rating by 58% (to a 3.8/9 from a 2.4/7).
"The Biggest Loser" is a production of Reveille LLC, 25/7
