Celine Dion: "My Singing Career is Just for Fun"  12/11/07

Celine Dion feels she has finally proved herself in the music industry, and is now singing purely for the fun of it.

Dion, 40, has enjoyed global success with her music - but since having her son Rene Charles seven years ago, her career has faded in importance.

She says, "In the beginning I needed to prove myself to the industry. Not anymore. I'm doing this for fun. Since my son was born I know my job as a mother is much more important.

"I cry at everything my son does. I am much happier now though because I have meaning in my life. Before, I was singing, fighting for my place, holding onto my dream.
