Gwen
Stefani Aids Fire Students
12/12/07
Singer Gwen Stefani has set up a college scholarship fund for students
affected by the recent California wildfires.
Generous Stefani handed over $160,000 in proceeds from her 30 October
(07) concert in San Diego, California to fire relief charity the San Diego
Foundation.
And now the star has founded the Gwen Stefani After-the-Fires
Scholarship, which will help students who lost their homes and/or jobs in
the blazes.
She says, "When I heard about the devastation of the fires, at
first I felt I should cancel my (San Diego) show out of respect. But then
it occurred to me there might be a more useful solution."
