Michael Bolton Was Oblivious to Nicollette Sheridan Pregnancy Claims  12/24/07

Singer Michael Bolton was completely unaware of tabloid reports claiming his actress fiancée Nicollette Sheridan was pregnant - until his daughter asked him if the rumors were true.

The reports were sparked after 44-year-old Sheridan was alleged to have asked her Desperate Housewives co-stars, Teri Hatcher, Marcia Cross and Felicity Huffman, all about motherhood and pregnancy.

But the 54-year-old crooner quashed rumors Sheridan was with child earlier this month (Dec07), branding the baby speculation "ridiculous".

And Bolton reveals he was oblivious to the reports until his grown-up daughter from his previous marriage to Maureen McGuire brought his attention to the matter.

He tells U.S. chat show host Larry King, "My daughter was the first one to tell me. She said, 'Is there anything you want to talk to me about?'

"We've been through this so much with tabloids making (up rumors) in the mainstream (media) that we always love to learn about ourselves in the news.

But no kids on the way - that I know about now anyway."

And Bolton insists the couple is in no hurry to wed: "(We're) engaged, having a great time. So that (having a family)'s not the first and foremost thing on our mind. We're kind of living like a married couple right now."
