JK
Rowling Tempted to Pen Eight Harry Potter Book 12/24/07
Author J.K. Rowling has given hope to millions of Harry Potter fans by
hinting of plans to add an eighth book to the boy wizard franchise.
Rowling - who has been ranked the third in Time magazine's Person of
the Year list - brought the series to an end earlier this year (07) with
the release of the seventh novel, Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows.
But the 42-year-old admits she is tempted to revisit the world of
Hogwarts just one more time - although the story may not be built around
the title character.
She says, "There have been times since finishing, some weak
moments, when I've said, 'Yeah, all right', to an eighth novel.
"But if - and it's a big if - I ever write an eighth book about
the wizarding world, I doubt Harry would be the central character."
