Britney Spears Most Searched For Celebrity On Net 12/1/08

Pop star Britney Spears has topped a list of the U.K's most searched for subject on the internet. The Toxic hitmaker was number one in search engine Yahoo's Top 10 searches of 2008, with reality TV program Big Brother coming in second.

British TV talent show The X Factor was the third most searched term, with rock band Oasis at number four and Disney film High School Musical 3 at five.

Rounding out the top ten was coverage of the U.S. election, singer Amy Winehouse, late Hollywood star Heath Ledger, supermodel Kate Moss and British soap opera EastEnders.
