Gwen Stefani was forced to postpone motherhood because of her phenomenal success as a singer with American rockers No Doubt. The Don't Speak beauty had always planned to have several children by the time she reached her mid-20s - but her demanding schedule made becoming a mother impossible. 

The 35-year-old wife of rock hunk Gavin Rossdale, who has now launched a successful solo career, says, "I've been thinking about becoming a mum since I was 10. "When I got signed the head of my label said, 'You'll be a star in six years.' I was 20 and I thought, 'I'm gonna have six kids by then.' "Six years on the dot, No Doubt was number one around the world. Now it's up to me. I'm hoping when I have children that they save me from my own vanity."
