Paris Hilton Takes Speed Lessons  2/26/05

Paris Hilton has taken speed lessons in Monaco to help her navigate the streets of Los Angeles as she tries to escape the paparazzi who hound her. The socialite finds herself racing desperate photographers whenever she's out and about and now she feels totally safe behind the wheel of a speeding car. 

She says, "I've driven on the street at 140 miles an hour when no one's around... I've never had an accident. "I took classes in Monaco with racing cars - real ones. I love fast cars. I always get pulled over." 

Meanwhile, the Simple Life star has just taken charge of a speedy new Ferrari she hopes to decorate with rhinestones. She adds, "I want to get the license plates, stick shift, wheels and mirrors done."
