Survivor Panama February 2nd  “Older Women Tribe - Are You Nuts?”  2/2/06

Divided into four teams, this Survivor battle splits older women against older men and younger women against younger men. The younger gals are hot, the younger men are cool, the older men are experienced, and the older women are nuts.

            Okay, nuts is a strong comment for the start of this show, but nuts they are. These four older women are composed of Ruth Marie, a 48 year old former narcotics undercover agent, Melinda, a 32 year old long-distance runner, Cirie, an obese out of shape 35 year old operating room nurse, and Tina, a powerful 45 year old lumberjack athlete.  Within minutes, Tina the ax woman started their tribe fire. She was chopping wood and found their water source. She even brought the first fish to the camp. She is an experienced outdoors woman who can handle herself without hesitation. Confident in her abilities and expertise, she could have been in the final three of this Survivor. But no, the others felt threatened and it was only day three! 

Cirie, the operating room nurse, is out of her element. She is an admitted couch-potato who has never camped out and believe this or not, she is phobic of bugs and leaves. Hello, Cirie. You are in Survivor. There are no pillows. There are no plates of junk food. And there are bugs, snakes, ants and leaves.

Why you are here amazes me. And how you were able to charm your companions Ruth and Melinda into voting out Tina, well you could probably sell a gobble to a turkey. This team of older women made a major tactical mistake. And they will live to regret it.
