James Denton Forced From Home by Desperate Housewives Fans  2/21/06

Desperate Housewives star James Denton has fled his home after being plagued by overzealous fans.

The actor, who stars opposite Teri Hatcher as hunky plumber Mike Delfino on the show, was forced to move house after his address was revealed in the media and he was besieged by admirers.

He explains, "A magazine printed a picture of the house with our cars in the driveway and everything.

"People are funny... about once or twice a week somebody would knock on the door or someone would be in the yard taking a picture."

The actor finally decided he'd had enough and moved to a more secure location to protect his privacy.

He adds, "We joked that we didn't have a "Desperate Housewives" appropriate home, so now we've got a place with a gate and a fence."
