Felicity Huffman's Desperate Housewives Emmy Made Her Ill  2/24/06

Desperate Housewives star Felicity Huffman was so shocked by her Emmy win in September (05), she became physically ill.

The blonde actress was stunned when she was named Outstanding Lead Actress In A Comedy Series for her performance as harassed mum-of-four Lynette Scavo at the Los Angeles ceremony.

Huffman recalls, "It was a shock to system.

"I couldn't sleep for days so I got walking pneumonia.

"I'd never won anything before. Once you get a taste of it, you're like, 'I'd like to win some more.'"

Huffman is nominated in the leading actress category at next month's (MAR06) Oscars for her performance in Transamerica.
