Drew Lachey Leaps to Dancing With the Stars Victory  2/27/06

US pop singer Drew Lachey leaped to victory on US television's Dancing With the Stars season finale on Sunday night (26FEB06).

The former 98 Degrees star and professional dancer Cheryl Burke edged out favorites, pro-wrestler Stacy Keibler and NFL legend Jerry Rice, with their routine to Elvis' Hound Dog - which had Lachey bounding over his partner's shoulders.

The couple's nearly perfect performance gave them a total score of 27 out of a possible 30 from the three-judge panel and viewer votes helped secure their victory.

The show paired 10 stars - including rapper Master P and talk-show host Lisa Rinna - with professional dancers. Each week one couple was kicked off according to ratings from judges and viewers.
