Master P in Court For Weapons Possession  2/28/06

Hip-hop mogul Master P appeared in court yesterday (27FEB06) to face charges of carrying unregistered guns - just hours after appearing in the final of hit US television contest Dancing With the Stars.

Master P - real name Percy Miller - was arrested in January (06) alongside his rapper brother Vyshonn during a routine traffic stop.

Los Angeles police found a semi-automatic handgun under the seat of Master P, who was the passenger, and a revolver under the seat of his brother, who was driving.

Yesterday's (27FEB06) court appearance saw the pair charged with one felony count of carrying an unregistered, loaded firearm. If convicted the rappers could face up to three years behind bars.

Their trial will begin next month (13MAR06).

Master P appeared on the dancing contest with professional Ashly Delgrosso after his rapper son LIL' Romeo was forced to pull out of the show suffering a basketball injury. He was kicked out in the fourth round, but returned for a last dance at Sunday's (26FEB06) final.
