Eva Mendes: "I'm a Cheap Date"  2/2/07

Actress Eva Mendes may be an A-list celebrity but she insists she's still an affordable date, despite her high expectations.

The Hitch star, who is reported to be in a long-term relationship with Peruvian director George Gargurevich, admits she is easy on the wallet, but warns it takes a lot more to keep her interested.

She explains, "I'm such a cheap date. But I said cheap, not easy. I have high expectations. You're probably better off going out with a more expensive date with lower expectations.

"I need my man to be very intelligent and well-read, to make up for what I don't have.

"Hey, I'm sweet and lovable, but I'm not an intellectual, let's face it!"
