Spanish beauty Penelope Cruz received a shock when she looked at photographs of her recent holiday in the Caribbean - she discovered she had accidentally strolled onto a nudist beach.

The star, who is nominated for a Best Actress Oscar for her role in Volver, realized her mistake after browsing through her holiday snaps to reveal a naked man walking behind them.

She says, "Someone from my family was taking a picture of me and my sister.

We didn't realize that behind us was guy with his legs open.

"That's how we discovered we were on a nudist beach - from the pictures."
