Joy's (Jaime Pressly) pregnancy reminds Earl (Jason Lee) of the time she was pregnant with their child, or what he thought was their child. During Earl's recollection of that troubling time in their marriage, he remembers how his father, Carl (guest star, Beau Bridges), pushed him to stay with Joy regardless of whose child he was going to be taking care of. Looking back on it, Earl realizes that staying with Joy and the kids was the first good thing he did before he ever made the list. 

Ethan Suplee and Eddie Steeples also star.
