Assistant's Concern for Britney Spears Meltdown  2/18/07

Britney Spears' former assistant Felicia Cutola has spoken of her fears for the singer, who has stunned showbiz by shaving off all her own hair.

Spears has been the subject of frenzied speculation in recent months, following her split from husband Kevin Federline. She has partied hard and rarely been spotted caring for her two baby sons Sean Preston and five-month old Jayden James.

On Friday, Spears strode into a Los Angeles salon and shaved off all her own hair in full view of stunned fans and photographers - and Cutola admits those close to the singer are very concerned.

In a letter written to internet site Hollywood.com - before Spears' visit to the hairdresser - she writes, "I cherish all the incredible opportunities that came my way thru my job with Britney and am crushed/saddened/heart sick by the way her life is unfolding.

"I want you to know that we (as in her Family and nearest and dearest - all of whom are not on the payroll anymore!!) are doing everything in our power to get help for Britney."
