John Travolta Shocked by Elizabeth Taylor's Flirting  2/23/07

Film star John Travolta was shocked when he attended an award ceremony early in his career and was propositioned by Elizabeth Taylor.

The Swordfish star was just starting to make it big when he found himself face-to-face with one of his acting inspirations.

He explains, "I remember one time at an award ceremony I sat between Paul Newman and Elizabeth Taylor.

"I had the nerve to tell Liz my fantasy about her. I said I had a recurring dream, which was true, and I said, 'You know that white dress you wore in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof?'

"I said, 'Well, you weren't wearing it in that dream.' She said, "Well, I'm not wearing anything under this right now.' I was 21! Yikes!"

When asked if he took up Taylor's offer, Travolta laughing replied, "I should have!"
