Britney Spears Manager: "Singer is not a Suicide Case"  2/24/07

Britney Spears' manager has slammed reports the pop superstar is on "suicide watch" in rehab after allegedly attempting to take her own life - and has urged the media to give his client a break.

Larry Rudolph admits he was stunned when US tabloids ran with stories about the singer's apparent suicide bid last Friday night (16FEB07) - after she shaved off her hair.

Reports suggested Spears fled her home in Malibu, California late on Friday and started walking into oncoming traffic - in a bid to end her life.

But angry Rudolph says, "The story is absolutely untrue. She is in rehab, and it is very disappointing that various media outlets are running these false stories about her, as Britney tries to get better."
