JK Rowling Sues eBay  2/27/07

Author J.K. Rowling is taking legal action against eBay after unauthorized versions of her Harry Potter books were allegedly being sold on the Indian version of the internet auction website.

Rowling is suing eBay for breach of copyright and has obtained a court injunction that bans the site from listing illegal copies of her books.

The British writer's lawyer Akash Chittranshi says, "This is the first time eBay has been compelled to take measures to prevent e-books being sold."
