Kylie Minogue's New Video Axed  2/1/08

Pop star Kylie Minogue's latest music video has been axed by TV watchdogs - after the promo failed to meet strict viewing guidelines.

The Australian superstar's latest video offering for new U.K. release Wow was set to premiere on British network Channel 4 on Wednesday (30Jan08) night as an exclusive preview for fans.

However, strobe lighting effects used in the footage broke tight rules set by the U.K.'s communication regulator Ofcom.

The video, which features the diminutive singer pole dancing with aliens, has now been forced to undergo re-editing before it is shown next week (begs04Feb08).

A Channel 4 representative says, "We are waiting for the new version to be ready. It will be show on E4's (the network's sister channel) Music Playlist."
