Britney Spears Hospital Stay Extended  2/4/08

Britney Spears' hospital stay has been extended by two weeks following the advice of her psychiatrist.

The pop star was placed on an initial 72-hour psychiatric hold when she was admitted to UCLA Medical Center on Thursday morning (31Jan08) following an intervention by her shrink and family members.

The troubled star is not exactly a model patient, according to reports - she created havoc in the Resnick Neuropsychiatric wing of the hospital on Friday night (01Feb08) when she learned that her father had won temporary control of her legal and financial affairs following an emergency court hearing.
