2/4/08
NEW YORK GIANTS QUARTERBACK AND SUPER BOWL XLII MVP ELI MANNING MAKES
HIS FIRST TALK SHOW APPEARANCE SINCE THE GIANTS' SUPER BOWL WIN ON CBS's
"LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN," MONDAY, FEB. 4 (rescheduled
for Wednesday - see note below)
Super Bowl XLII's Most Valuable Player, New
York Giants Quarterback Eli Manning, makes his first talk show
appearance since the Giants' huge upset of the undefeated New England
Patriots in Sunday's championship game when he visits the LATE SHOW with
DAVID LETTERMAN, tonight, Monday, Feb. 4 (11:35 PM-12:37 AM, ET/PT) on the
CBS Television Network.
Manning completed 19 passes out of 34 attempts and threw for 255 yards,
including an impressive 12-play, 83-yard scoring drive with just over two
minutes left in the game, which helped lead the wild card Giants overtake
the heavily-favored Patriots by a score of 17 to 14, shocking the world
and ending New England's perfect season. Manning was named MVP of this
year's Super Bowl, a title which, coincidentally, went to his brother,
Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning, last year when the Colts
won Super Bowl XLI.
On another note, this is also the fourth year in a row that the winning
Super Bowl quarterback has made his first talk show appearance following
the big game on the LATE SHOW.
Also visiting the CBS late night broadcast tonight will be Democratic
Presidential hopeful Sen. Hillary Clinton (N.Y.).
The LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN is a production of Worldwide Pants
Incorporated. Barbara Gaines, Maria Pope, Jude Brennan and Rob Burnett are
the executive producers
