Dad Confirms It's Twins for Jennifer Lopez  2/6/08

Jennifer Lopez's father has confirmed the actress/singer and her husband Marc Anthony are expecting twins.

David Lopez told Latino television show Escandalo TV he has two grandkids on the way during an interview, which aired on Tuesday (05Feb08).

He said, "It's twins. The thing is in my family, my sister also had twins, so it's a hereditary thing.

"I'm very proud. Jennifer has yearned to be a mother for many years."

Lopez is preparing to give birth for the first time in the coming days after a string of premature reports suggested she had checked into a Long Island, New York hospital last month (Jan08).

But the proud grandfather is all set to welcome the babies: "In Puerto Rico it's custom to buy an azabache bracelet for babies to protect them from the evil eye, it's part of our culture."
