Company Suing Airline Over Sienna Miller Flight Cancellation
2/9/08
A Spanish clothing company is suing an airline for failing to deliver
actress Sienna Miller to the U.S. for a photo shoot.
The Alfie star was hired as the face of Pepe Jeans but company
officials were furious when the star was unable to attend a planned modeling
assignment because her flight was delayed.
In a lawsuit filed in Manhattan's Federal Court, Pepe Jeans claim they
paid $160,000 to Jet Set Private Air Service to transport the actress and
her associates from London to New Jersey airport on 7 October last year
(07).
But the plane never took off and the lawsuit states Miller and her
party were left waiting for six hours. And when the group left to get some
dinner, they were told on their return that they could not board the
aircraft as they did not have the "necessary paperwork" to enter
the U.S.
Miller missed the shoot and Pepe was forced to bring in a replacement
model.
The suit also claims Jet Set offered a full refund but never provided
the money.
