Britney Spears Dad Keeps Control  2/8/08

A Los Angeles judge has extended temporary control of Britney Spears' legal and financial affairs to her father after a brief court session on Thursday (07Feb08).

Commissioner Reva Goetz, who recently made Jamie Spears conservator of his daughter's estate, agreed the caterer could continue taking charge of all things Britney.

The 30-minute closed-door emergency hearing came a day after the troubled pop star was released from a Los Angeles psychiatric hospital.

Spears' father was joined in court by his lawyers Jeryll S. Cohen and Vivian Thoreen, a court-appointed lawyer for Britney and Jamie's co-conservator, Andrew Wallet.
