Pamela
Anderson Launches Website With Brigitte Bardot Tribute
2/24/08
Pamela Anderson has relaunched her website with a tribute to
actress-turned-animal activist Brigitte Bardot.
After killing her previous website last month (Jan08), the former
Baywatch babe has launched PamelaChannel.com, where she'll post regular
journals about her colorful life.
And in the first message, posted on Friday (22Feb08), Anderson coos
about meeting Bardot during a recent trip to France.
Bardot used the meeting to ask Anderson to help her ban seal hunting in
her native Canada.
The retired French actress also asked Anderson to represent her in her
annual press conference at her animal rights charity foundation's
headquarters under the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
In the post, Anderson recalls, "It was an amazing crowd - full of
sympathy - I saw tears (even paparazzi) (sic) when I played footage of the
baby seals being beaten and sometimes skinned alive in this barbaric cash
bonus for the fisheries.
"Brigitte Bardot called me on speaker phone at (the) press
conference expressing her gratitude for all the work I do for animals. She
called me her `daughter,' `a continuation of her'. I almost fell over...
"She is an inspiration and I thank her again and again for
everything she's done."
