NEW YORK – February 26, 2008 – Following an emotionally charged
second season, Bravo's docu-series "Work Out" starts its
anticipated third season on Tuesday, April 15 at 11:00 PM ET/PT, catching
up with fitness maverick Jackie Warner as she prepares to tackle her
personal relationships and business endeavors with a newfound maturity.
The third season introduces the four skilled trainers Warner recently
hired at her exclusive Beverly Hills gym Sky Sport & Spa, and her new
live-in love, Brianna. "Work Out" moves to its regular timeslot
Tuesday, April 22 at 10:00 PM ET/PT.
Last season Warner was reeling from a breakup with her toxic
girlfriend, Mimi, and the unexpected death of one of her beloved trainers,
Doug Blasdell. She also came to terms with her father's suicide and made
strides in reconciling with her conservative mother, who does not approve
of Warner's lifestyle. All the while she was juggling the increasing
demands of her business and building her new Skylab venture, a high-end
spa/fitness experience for overweight clients who want to change their
minds, bodies and overall health. This season the series follows Warner as
she takes on even bigger challenges with Skylab and continues to build Sky
Sport & Spa with her new team of trainers.
In her personal life, Warner still passionately lives by the "work
hard, play hard" motto, but these days she has settled into domestic
bliss with her new girlfriend, Brianna, and now claims that her Saturday
nights are spent curled up with her sexy gal. Warner introduces Brianna to
her conservative mother, and is nervous of her mom's reaction when she
finds out the two are already living together.
Back at the gym, the conflict and drama of Sky Sport & Spa
escalates with the introduction of four dynamic new trainers to the family
– Jesse Jordan, Agostina Laneri, Greg Plitt and Renessa Williams. The
hot new trainers bring out the insecurities in Warner's longtime trainers
– Jesse Brune, Gregg Butler, Rebecca Cardon, Erika Jacobson and Brian
Peeler – who strive to stay in Warner's good graces and keep their
valuable clients happy. The veteran trainers are still up to the same
dramatic antics and Warner must deal with Cardon's jealousy over her new
relationship and her increasingly antagonistic relationship with Peeler.
Also, this season a surprise romance develops between two of the trainers.
New Faces, Fresh Starts
Warner hires four new trainers to sizzle things up at Sky Sport &
Spa:
JD Jordan JD Jordan is tall, dark and handsome. He's been a masseur to
many of Hollywood's leading artists and now wants to take his newfound
passion for personal training to the next level. He's looking to Warner to
take him under her wing and show him what it takes to be a top trainer in
a very competitive world. In Jordan's personal life, he's looking for an
intelligent, masculine guy and says he's sick of choosing men that need to
be saved. He wears his heart on his sleeve, and too often that's what gets
him in trouble.
Agostina Laneri Agostina Laneri is a 26-year-old Argentinean who is not
afraid to speak her mind. Since winning Bravo's Hollywood & Highland
competition to join Warner's gym as a trainer, she has enjoyed a
flourishing career at Sky Sport & Spa, and even stole a kiss from her
new boss, Warner.
Greg Plitt Greg Plitt is a trainer with abs of steel. He has adorned
more than 50 fitness magazine covers and considers himself somewhat of a
celebrity in the field. His body will have the male trainers envious and
the female trainers salivating – his mere presence will heat up the gym
and he is determined to stir things up at Sky Sport & Spa.
Renessa Williams This bubbly South Dakotan is all smiles and is looking
for the right guy. She's trained alongside Peeler for years and considers
him a brother and confidant. Unfortunately, she has no idea that her ties
with him may put her in jeopardy with her new boss, Warner.
Familiar Faces, Familiar Drama
Warner's longtime trainers constantly stir up trouble and compete for
her attention and acceptance:
Jesse Brune Jesse Brune is committed to living a healthier lifestyle
and has lost more than 20 pounds and has a new boyfriend. He says he's
never been happier. He has become the voice of reason at Sky Sport &
Spa, with an uncanny ability to tell people what's what without offending.
He's ready to take his work to the next level and teach his clients how to
lose weight the healthy way.
Gregg Butler Gregg Butler has been playing keyboards more than ever and
says that his life consists of full time music and training. He's lost
almost 30 pounds since last season and he doesn't have the "power
lifter" build he used to. This season he deals with his very
difficult Skylab client, Deenie.
Rebecca Cardon Rebecca Cardon is struggling in the status quo after her
semi-relationship with Warner ended. She may be jealous of Warner's new
girlfriend or just a little sad because she's lost Warner's time and
attention. Whatever the case may be, Cardon is determined to regain as
much of Warner's time as she can. Along with personal training, Cardon is
exploring the world of television hosting and she is currently the
spokesperson for two state of the art fitness products.
Erika Jacobson In the department of love, Erika Jacobson is still
looking for "the one". She says her clock is ticking and she
wants to settle down and start a family. She must wrestle her demons in
order to find the stability in her life she so desperately craves,
including coming to terms with her demons and her continuing struggle with
her body image.
Brian Peeler Brian Peeler still thinks he's the best trainer at Sky
Sport and also the best looking. He considers himself the big man on
campus. Will that change with the addition of new trainer Greg Plitt?
Peeler's antagonistic relationship with Warner, also comes to a boil this
season. All the while, he continues to heal after losing his good friend,
Doug Blasdell.
"Work Out" is produced by Mentorn USA for Bravo. Bruce Toms,
Amy Shpall and Billy Taylor are executive producers.
