Simon Cowell Splashes Out on London Property  2/27/08

American Idol star Simon Cowell has spent £40 million ($80 million) on a lavish new home in London.

The 48-year-old music mogul purchased the house from an innovative property developer - who is in the process of giving the period terrace an underground extension which will include a swimming pool, a mini spa with a Jacuzzi and treatment room, and a parking garage for six vehicles.
