Colin Farrell's Film, The New World Gets Cut  1/10/06

Colin Farrell's new historical epic The New World is losing 15 minutes after early audiences complained the film was too long and slow in places.

The decision is odd for a film that is already on limited release in America and is being suggested for Oscar consideration.

Producer Sarah Green says, "It just wasn't quite the way we wanted it."
