Jennifer Lopez Lights Up for Film Roles  1/25/06

Actress Jennifer Lopez recently learned how to smoke, because her last two film characters both suffered from nicotine addiction.

The Maid in Manhattan star, who rarely drinks and never smokes, had to teach herself how to look convincing while smoking.

She says, "You just have to start smoking. I don't smoke regular cigarettes.

I smoke herbal cigarettes with no nicotine, so I don't get addicted.

"You learn the habit of it - how to inhale."

However, Lopez's husband, Marc Anthony, is a committed smoker who doesn't look to be giving up his addiction anytime soon. When asked whether she could get her husband to abandon his habit, Lopez said, "Forget it. I don't think it's going to happen."
