Lisa Kudrow Gutted at The Comeback Flop  1/31/06

Friends star Lisa Kudrow is still devastated at the failure of her sitcom follow-up The Comeback last year (05) - because had never worked so hard in her life.

The show starred Kudrow - who also wrote and developed the idea - as faded TV star Valerie Cherish, but was axed after just one season when it failed to impress US audiences.

But Kudrow still has hopes for its success in the UK when it starts broadcasting this year (06).

She says, "I worked harder on The Comeback than I ever did on Friends.

"I was disappointed it hasn't picked up for a second season, but I am also inordinately proud of the show.

"The critics loved it but we struggled to get viewers. I think British audiences will get the humour better than the Americans."
