Pink: "It's The Thoughtless Commercialism and Consumerism, and The Forced Idea Of Wake Up, Shop, Drink, Party. There Is So Much Going On In The World Right Now That Young People Don't Live Like That, It's Not Reality."

BURBANK, Calif. - January 30, 2006- In an interview with "Access Hollywood's" Billy Bush, multi-platinum artist Pink talks about her controversial new song, "Stupid Girls." The interview airs on "Access Hollywood," Tuesday, January 31, 2006 (Log on to AccessHollywood.com to check local time and station).

Pink dispels assumptions that she parodies certain tabloid headliners in her new video for "Stupid Girls," and claims to just address overall social concerns. "It's the thoughtless commercialism and consumerism, and the forced idea of wake up, shop, drink, party. There is so much going on in the world right now that young people don't live like that, it's not reality."

She also discusses the affects of her previous drug and alcohol abuse on her figure as a role model and says, "The funny thing is that I wasn't allowed over to my friends' houses to dinner because none of their parents wanted me there and they are the same parents going out buying my record now saying 'thank you.'" Pink adds that even with her own parents' judgments she had to point out, "You wouldn't want me at your table if I wasn't your daughter."

In this first on-camera interview since her wedding early this month, Pink tells Billy Bush how she decided to marry motocross racer Carey Hart. She jokes, "I always tell him, 'I tried to kick you out of my life eight times and you never go anywhere so marry me.'" Pink then reveals the real story, "I held out a pit board at one of his races that said 'will you marry me.'"

"Access Hollywood" is produced by NBC and distributed by NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution. Rob K Silverstein is the executive producer.
