Paula Abdul Works With Dr. Phil To Find A Good Relationship

Dr. Phil McGraw hosts A DR. PHIL PRIMETIME SPECIAL: LOVE SMART, a new entertainment special that focuses on the dramatic stories of two people who don't have the love lives they want, to be broadcast on Valentine's Day, Tuesday, Feb. 14 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Superstar Paula Abdul ("American Idol") and a real-life Casanova work with Dr. Phil to help find rewarding relationships.

Dr. Phil and Paula Abdul explore the life of an unmarried international celebrity who is looking for love. They talk about the problems she experiences including those men who haven't achieved her level of success, those who have trouble with her demanding schedule and those who are overwhelmed by her emotions. Paula will have the chance to pick a blind date from a group of ten eligible men, none of whom know that they will be going out with a big star. After Dr. Phil observes Paula on the date, they will talk about what she needs to do to bring her closer to her goal of meeting the man of her dreams. Dr. Phil also suggests a guy to Paula that he thinks is a good match for her.

In another segment, Rob Gray -- a real-life Casanova -- is a handsome, 25-year-old bachelor who has no trouble meeting, charming and going to bed with almost any woman he wants. He will talk with Dr. Phil about how he pretends to be something that he isn't to dupe women into falling for him. Rob also tells Dr. Phil that he wants to change and really have a meaningful relationship in his life. Dr. Phil will work with some of the women Rob has been seeing and help them to be more alert to guys that will take advantage of them. He will also have them confront Rob about their feelings. Dr. Phil will then work with Rob to see if he's sincere about changing his life and style…or if he's putting Dr. Phil on too.

A DR. PHIL PRIMETIME SPECIAL: LOVE SMART is being produced by Stage 29 Productions with CBS/Paramount Television. Carla Pennington Stewart and Jay McGraw are the executive producers; Marilyn Zielinski is the supervising producer. John Perry will direct from a script by Pennington Stewart and Zielinski.
