Barry Manilow Performs on Dancing With the Stars Results Show Tonight  2/3/06

POP ICON BARRY MANILOW PERFORMS ON ABC'S "DANCING WITH THE STARS" RESULTS SHOW, FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 3

He "writes the songs that make the whole world sing..." and we're bringing him to you live from the "Dancing with the Stars" stage. He's none other than pop icon Barry Manilow. Don't miss a beat on the "Dancing with the Stars" results show, FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 3 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

International superstar and singer/songwriter Barry Manilow performs three songs, including his hit "Copacabana," as professional dancers Louis van Amstel and Cheryl Burke dance the Samba. He'll also serenade us with his rendition of the classic "Unchained Melody," from his latest album, "The Greatest Songs of the Fifties." To end the evening, he will accompany the eliminated couple, singing "They Dance" as they take the floor for their final dance.

In addition, two world Mambo champions, Emmanuel Pierre-Antoine and Joanna Zacharewicz, will be dancing to the "Ran Kan Kan."

Hosted by Tom Bergeron and Samantha Harris, the "Dancing with the Stars" results show airs Fridays from 8:00-9:00 p.m., ET and features performances by music's hottest stars, as well as performances from the hottest dance troupes and professional dancers, ranging from salsa to jive to hip-hop.

Celebrities paired with professional dancers perform choreographed routines on "Dancing with the Stars" Thursday nights and are judged by a panel of dance experts -- renowned Ballroom Judge Len Goodman, and dancer/choreographers Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba.

The viewing public also weighs in, by phoning in or voting online for their favorite performers immediately following the Thursday performance shows. The scores are combined and the couple garnering the lowest score is revealed by evening's end during the Friday results show and eliminated from the competition. One couple is dismissed each Friday until a winner is crowned.

TIA CARRERE - Television and movie star known for her stunning beauty, and partner/professional dancer Maksim Chmerkovskiy.

GEORGE HAMILTON - Actor and international bon vivant, and partner/professional dancer Edyta Sliwinska, who makes her second appearance in the series.

STACY KEIBLER - WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) wrestler, and partner/professional dancer Tony Dovolani.

DREW LACHEY - Recording artist and former member of the pop group 98 Degrees, and partner/professional dancer Cheryl Burke.

JERRY RICE - Three-time Super Bowl champ and considered by many to be the greatest wide receiver to play in the NFL, and partner/professional dancer Anna Trebunskaya.

LISA RINNA - Actress, entrepreneur and host of SOAPnet's "Soap Talk," and partner/professional dancer Louis van Amstel, who returns to the series from last season.

"Dancing with the Stars" is the U.S. version of the international smash hit series, "Strictly Come Dancing." This version is produced in America by BBC Worldwide.
