R&B star Bobby Brown's reality TV series has been cancelled after ratings plummeted when estranged wife Whitney Houston no longer appeared on the show.

Being Bobby Brown aired on US network Bravo and executives have officially cancelled the show after it suffered dismal ratings.

Houston announced she was separating from the singer after 14 years of marriage in September (06).

According to veteran Hollywood gossip columnist Janet Charlton, Brown desperately tried to convince executives to pair him up with troubled boxing champ Mike Tyson on the show, but they refused.

Brown is still spending time with Karrine Steffans, a former hip-hop performer and actress who wrote a book about her sexual escapades with celebrities.

Steffans is currently writing another book about her experiences with Brown.
