Pregnant Marcia Cross Put on Bed Rest  1/11/07

Desperate Housewives star Marcia Cross has been forced to temporarily quit the show after doctors put her on bed rest for the remainder of her pregnancy.

The 44-year-old actress, who is expecting twins in April (07) with new husband Tom Mahoney, will complete scenes for the current season of the drama from her home.

Cross' publicist Heidi Slan says, "This is a precautionary measure only."

Her bed rest means Cross will also miss the Golden Globe Awards on 15 January (07). She is nominated as a Best Actress for her role as Bree Van De Camp on the popular series.
