Jamie Lynn Sigler: "Jessica Simpson Helped Me With Marriage Breakdown"  1/16/07

The Sopranos star Jamie-Lynn Sigler has thanked Jessica Simpson for supporting her during her separation from husband AJ DiScala.

After Sigler and DiScala appeared with Simpson and her then-husband Nick Lachey on their MTV reality series Newlyweds, both couples began to experience marital difficulties. Sigler and DiScala split in September 2005, while Simpson and Lachey went their separate ways two months later (NOV05).

And Sigler found it comforting to discuss the breakdown of her marriage with Simpson, but she insists the pair weren't able to offer each other unlimited sympathy.

She says, "We did go through the same thing at the same time, but everyone is different.

"Even if I talk about my relationship with a friend, or hear about a friend's situation, unless you're in that specific relationship, you never know what the dynamic is.

"But Jessica and I have certainly talked about things but, mainly, for me, it's nice to know you're not alone."
