Must Depose a Four Year Old Dictator Next Week on "Supernanny"
1/23/07
LITTLE SEAN IS THE FOUR-YEAR-OLD DICTATOR IN HIS FAMILY, ON
"SUPERNANNY," JANUARY 29
"Haines Family" - Little Sean, at just four years old, is the
dictator of the Haines household, and every family member bows to his
whims. He has more power than he knows what do with, and crying, whining,
hitting, spitting, punching, kicking and biting seem to be his preferred
methods of communication.
Dad Shane is a tough police officer on the job, but he has no authority
at home, and Mom Suzanne, an ER nurse, claims that giving in is easier
than fighting. Big brother Seth (10) has grown resentful because Sean gets
the majority of his parents' attention, so Seth antagonizes Sean to get
some attention of his own. Mom and Dad's passivity when it comes to
discipline has enabled the boys to spiral out of control, often out of
sheer boredom and restlessness.
In all Jo Frost's years of nannying, she's never seen parents with such
a lack of energy, so she needs to try a different approach. She'll shake
things up and challenge the parents to enliven the family dynamic and face
up to task of disciplining the children, on "Supernanny,"
MONDAY, JANUARY 29 (9:00-10:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.
Nick Powell is the creator and executive producer of both the American
and British versions of the show. Craig Armstrong and Nick Emmerson are
executive producers of the American version. "Supernanny" is
produced by Ricochet, Ltd.
"Supernanny" is broadcast with Spanish subtitles via
secondary closed captioning. This program carries a TV-PG parental
guideline.
