Stars of 'Everybody Hates Chris' to Visit Troops and their Families on
USO Tour to Ft. Lewis, Wash.
ARLINGTON, Va., Jan. 31 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Tyler James Williams
and Terry Crews, stars of The CW's hit television show "Everybody
Hates Chris," will visit with service members and their families on
their first USO tour to Ft. Lewis, Wash., Feb. 9.
Inspired by the childhood experiences of comedian Chris Rock,
"Everybody Hates Chris" premiered in 2005 to critical acclaim.
Currently in its second season, the show won the NAACP Image Award for
Best Comedy, and was nominated for Golden Globe and People's Choice Awards
in its first season.
Tyler James Williams, who plays the title character on the show, was a
regular on "Sesame Street." Williams also co-starred in Bill
Cosby's animated series "Little Bill" as the voice of
"Bobby." Most recently, he starred in the feature film
"Unaccompanied Minors" and lent his voice to the films
"Everyone's Hero" and "The Ant Bully."
Terry Crews, who plays Julius, Chris's father, is a former football
player who hung up his helmet and pursued acting as his full-time passion.
His movie credits include "White Chicks," "The Longest
Yard" and "Click. Next month, Crews stars opposite Eddie Murphy
in the comedy "Norbit."
The series is a production of CBS Paramount Network Television Inc., in
association with Chris Rock Enterprises, Inc. and 3 Arts Entertainment.
This tour continues the USO's tradition of bringing stateside tours to
troops and their families. Entertainers who recently participated in USO
tours include Carrie Underwood, Wilmer Valderrama, Al Franken, Bill
Engvall and Craig Ferguson.
